The summer has continued nicely into August and today the 70th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing we find ourselves relaxing naked at our friendly naturist club here in Essex. Surprisingly there’s no one here, apart from that is, a rabbit or two and the odd squirrel.
Today is one of those days where being clothes free is so welcoming as the sun is out, there are few clouds around, and a strong breeze, but most importantly the air temperature is warm. We parked the car put our provisions in the fridge got out the sunbeds took our clothes off and now we are relaxing on the lawn with only the birds and the bees for company. Its a Thursday so perhaps there will be nobody here till tomorrow evening, so it will probably mean its a trivial pursuit and beer evening.
Today started well with England bowling Australia out before lunch for just 60 a feat that hasn’t happened on an ashes test for over 100 years. After that it was off to Aldi for the groceries then into the car for the 30 minute journey to Arcadians. The club which has been in existence for over 60 years in about half a mile down a country lane in deep countryside so its nice and quiet on the whole except from the circling airliners from Stansted, Gatwick and possibly Heathrow and the odd squawking crow that occasionally interrupts the peace.
With Ginny having a few extra days holiday we’re able to enjoy the sun for the longest period of time since Easter. Trivial Pursuit it was after a few beers and a meal of fishcakes, rice and stir-fry.
