So our free days have mainly be been spent tidying up and refreshing tired paintwork, cutting the grass and in general trying to get the place ship shape so we can just relax and get on with our lives in a chilled out manner just as before, this time with less background noise. One cannot help but feel relax here once we get home unfortunatly that dreaded word “Work” always seem to raise its ugly head, just when we are enjoying ourseleves.
Luckily for us the weather has been kind since we moved in, almost a month ago and the sun has shone pretty much all the time, meaning we have been able to spend more than enough time in the garden, something we’ve not had for a few years.
Maybe when something improves it makes it even harder for us to leave, as today I’m having problems motivating myself to go back to work. It’s not like I’ve had months or even weeks off, only two days but I just didn’t want to leave our new humble abode. The two days were spent painting and putting furniture together and gardening, but it seems so tranquil and peaceful it always seems gut wrenching to tear myself away.
Minor improvements make someone else’s house your home and over the weekend just painting a door frame,a gate and some old decking, made the place ours ! Added to that the sofas arrived a couple of weeks ago and finally the fibre optic broadband and BT tv package got all set up yesterday.
Makes it even more of a wrench the fact the weather is going to be nice too this week, while we’re at work. The countryside around us affords us some wonderful photo opportunities and as the year progresses I’ve manage to get some good sunrise shots too.
