The summer is here and after a hectic 11 weeks I’ve finally got some time off. Today is my first day off and so far it’s warm and sunny. It’s only 8.33 but already the temperature has hit 22°c. Luckily the fine weather looks set to continue at the expense of some other places around the world which seems to be getting some really poor weather of late.
In all I’ve got eleven days which hopefully will be spent at home doing some chores, then in the garden and finally at the club hopefully topping up my tan and getting a good supply of vitamin B. Luckily I’ve been in the garden on my days off so I’m slightly tanned already and not bleachy white.
There’s plenty of things in the naturist world that have been happening while I’ve been busy working hard. World Naked Gardening Day,World Naked Bike Rides, Optional Clothes Free days at various garden venues and of course Nudefest which I believe happened last week.
There have also been rumblings of discontent on the BN & INF front too, which I’m not surprised as many naturist organisations never seem to run as quietly as the should do.Life should be so easy but us humans seem to make things so difficult.
My ‘Summer Slumber’ as I’ve called it, will be fill by chores that just need to be done. These include: Painting the hallway, the shed, the decking, bottom fence and side gate. After that I’d like to cut the lawn and trim edges finally put some more bark down in side and at the end of the garden behind the pond. Let’s see how it goes !
Before & After
Awoke to glorious sunshine so after several cups of coffee it was straight out into the garden, but not before I’d slapped on some sunscreen. First job was to remove the chicken wire on the gates which seemed to encase the garden when we moved in. By early spring I’d already removed much of it surrounding the garden, but wanting to paint both gates meant I’d have to remove the rest. Once it was done I painted on different colour ‘Dark Oak’ (on the garden gate) just to cover up the black, which I’d never really liked and I was quite pleased with the result.
Next was the lawn, after trimming the edges with the shears,I then got out the mower and finished it of adding some nice stripes to the parts of the lawn that was actually still green. It was so hot so I then had a shower and moved inside with today’s jobs done,to watch the England South Africa test match on the TV.
C’mon England !
After a bacon sandwich we’d arranged to go and see a friend on Saturday to socialise have a few drinks, watch some bands staying the night and returning after breakfast on Sunday morning.I havent really had time for any social drinking recently apart from the odd bottle at home, it was good to relax and enjoy the entertainment and the company and of course my favourite tipple Guinness.
We were up early on Sunday so we ended up having breakfast went shopping and still returned but midday. After relaxing for a few hours I decided it was on with the jobs and put up a new venetian blind, some shelves,a Roger Waters picture and general tidy the room from which I’m composing this post right now.
