“And did those Tories in modern time
Build all over England’s countryside green? And it was the black tarmac
On England’s pleasant fields built
They did destroy all our wildlife that shone forth upon our pleasant hills? And was Jerusalem built here Among those dark conservative days ! ”
Bring me my bag of burning gold!
Bring me my profts of desire!
A luxury homes, unfold!
Bring me my fireplace of open fire!
I will not cease from selfish fight,
Nor shall birds feed again from my hand,
Till we have built a developers dream,
All over England’s green and pleasant land.
Once more only two years further on we find ourselves in the grip of yet another general election, which we understand the prime minister was never going to call.
After all the commotion and hoo har that centred around Brexit, the underlying problems in the United Kingdom still centre around austerity and the government unwillingness to spend taxpayers money on the very things we have a right to have. Things like a decent, free of capitalism health service, decent transport network and the right to have the household services provided which we’ve been accustomed too over the last 50years.
Things like rubbish collections, street cleaning and other everyday amenities. In the past I’ve mentioned the why’s and wherefores and the if and buts of different political parties but it really should mean for the politicians anyway doing what’s best for the people..all the people that is.
Unfortunately or fortunately I have no time at all for the Conservative Government as they seem to care more for the Millions paid in Corporation Tax than they do for the Millions of people who pay tax !
Giving corporations tax cut while taxing the millions of hard working people.
