Monday came (which is my day off )just two days after the move, though it eventually became another day of chores and getting things done. We headed back to Springfield this time to collect my van which I needed to get MOT’d. Thankfully it passed so I drove it back home and parked it on the drive. We use the van when we go camping so it’s got all the things you might need for a naturist camping trip.
I headed inside to sort out all my LP’s everything from The Beatles to Peggy Lee and hopefully sort out my PC. The Lps got done but the desktop got delayed as I sorted out some other things that needed doing. Luckily we’ve got a few days off this week to get things straight.
After two days at work I’ve got five more days holiday which will include a trip to a festival as well as extra time to try and sort out the endless boxes which have accumulated in the lounge. We’ve still no internet or sofas which are still over a week away but at least we’ve a dining room table and chairs to sit at as well as a directors chair which used to be in the bedroom.
“You don’t often see these in towns”
Moving time is almost upon us a while I’m not looking forward to carrying all our stuff over, hopefully it will be a new start for us in more peaceful surroundings. The drive to work will be a little longer but hopefully most of the time we will be able to miss the congestion going in and around Chelmsford city centre. It still is hard to understand just how innovations put in place by both central government and local councils fails to change or solve the very thing it was put in place to solve.
It’s also annoying just how companies employ 90% of their workforce to just be labourers and neglect their real skills and initiative which could and would make these companies more efficient and cater more to the needs of their customers. In most cases it really says how ineffective the current people in charge actually are. Moving on….So after our move, hopefully surrounded by countryside we might be able to relax and enjoy the kind of life and lifestyle that we deserve given our time in life, gracefully approaching middle age.

I’m looking forward to being able to be organised with just a little mire space around us and of course having a garden. Moving on…..Once the moves over I’m looking forward to once again going out with the camera and exploring area of Essex which will now be a little closer. Places north of the A120 places we’ve only visited fleetingly before. Its hard to believe that life changes as you get older, but believe me it does. When I’m working you hear other members of staff saying this happened last night and so and so said this,so and so said that and they mutter about things which believe are just so trivial. If they’d experienced the life changing things that I have they’d realise that these things just don’t matter.

The weather has finally turned !
Last weekend the clouds rolled away as temperatures reached the mid 20 Celsius. Yesterday it went even higher and today it has reached 30,scorching weather for us Brits, maybe cool for people in other parts of the world. Of course for us it meant little as I had to work and any other time we both had off,was spent packing up CDs,DVDs and also sorting out boxes and boxes of loft stuff, collected over the years. In amongst all the concert tickets, free CDs and programme’s I found school reports going back to the 1960s and photos from times long forgotten.
Moving on,changing times, this brings me to the major topic in the UK recently…Trident and Brexit. Trident divides the nation almost as much as Brexit with those who want to maintain the status quo voting for renewal, while those who don’t want it and think its a waste of money voting to scrap it. As a peace lover and a believer in a new and better future I would have voted to scrap it as what’s the use of having something you don’t want to use.People will say these weapons have kept the peace for over 70 years but have they ?
Korean,Vietnamese,Iraqi and afghan wars have all come and gone while the only thing that’s stopped nuclear weapons being used is the politicians and military men whose hands they are in. Memories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still in everyone’s minds so scraping them wouldn’t be such a loss. Brexit too can be seen as a way forward too,British people still respect the Germans,French and all the other EU countries so what’s the problem with not being in or a part of the european business and social club ?
The main reason we voted out was just to get a hold of our own country. This would allow business with the whole world, not on the say so of the EU,to manage our own finances and of course to allow fully trained professionals in,not just everyone. We are after all just a small nation and masses of new settlers does change the social and actual landscape amazingly. This doesn’t mean were are at all racist just like the Australian and Americans aren’t. It also means had the EU sorted out the mass migrations through Turkey in the first place, it may have not come to a point where so many of us voted to leave the EU.
